Whispering Pines Campground

Was there for a year, out the next. New owners are absolutely terrible. They raised the price 400$ their first year. There’s a few ponds there that were left untreated and unfishable for months. The swimming pool kept getting shut down very frequently.. Water was shut off inconveniently multiple times. My electric bill for a weekend was 60 dollars!!!! With the previous owners I paid 90$ in electric the entire year, and I lived there for 3 months straight with ac! They verbally harassed a family member that camped there for 7 years no issue until they became the new owners. Vince likes to steal from people, he will go on your sight take your chairs or whatever you may have sitting out and put it in his scrap pile to make a quick buck and this has happened to multiple people, his reasoning “if I don’t see you using it, I’m taking it.” His wife likes to verbally attack people and blame it on her medical issues. Me and my fiance stopped going back in June because of just how awful the place has become, and since then they claim we owe 90 bucks in electric bills after not being out there for almost 4 months. Nothing was turned on everything is off. They are already demanding we pay 500$ storage fee or pull our camper out now when the season isn’t even over yet. I sure do miss going out there and seeing my old camping friends, but there’s no point in going when you are walking on eggshells the whole time because they are unpredictable.. especially after they came onto my sight, and started a yelling/screaming argument with people who didn’t stay at my lot, I had company over and it was completely embarrassing and humiliating. A lot of people we know are leaving, who have been there for 5+ years.. it’s not worth it. You can find a place far better with more activities, for the same amount of money.. without paying a fortune a month on electric.. that completely defeats the purpose of paying so much money to stay there for 5 months. Very disappointed in how this place turned out.. save your money.. find a place worth your while!

Vince was a really guy and showed us what he had but our rig was too big. Will look again later this fall next spring.

Just bought it and seems to working hard to upgrade it

We had an awesome time visiting our friends here, and meeting everyone at the camp-wide pot luck breakfast (which was absolutely AMAZING!). The owners were really nice too. Beautiful place

Only been here since start of the 2019 season but both the grounds and all the people are very nice, you can tell the owners care by the way things are cared for and everyone is so helpful and friendly.

This was my first time at whispering pines,
I've been to several camp grounds.
Whispering pines is a beautiful relaxing environment, fun events every weekend , pool for everyone. Everyone treated me like family.I will definitely recommend this place for everyone and I will be going back hopefully as my summer home!
