We stayed at site 13. It was a great site. We couldn't get our slide out out and the awing out at the same time because of a tree. But other wise the site was great.

Quiet and peaceful location. Very relaxing. The camp host Keith was friendly and accessible and kept the grass mowed as campers moved in and out. Very enjoyable week.

I stayed for one night on 24 July 21 in site 018. I found the campsite itself to be a level asphalt parking pad with not much privacy between campsites. Site 018 offered 30 and 50 amp electric service which was in excellent working order. I did not encounter any US Forest Service Staff or campground hosts during my stay. The flush toilet facility near site 018 appeared clean and well stocked during my 1-night stay, and the nearby dumpster had recently been emptied. I did use the dump station and found it to be reasonably clean and in working order. The wooden observation decks made it easy to view the Ohio river. There is a Day Use area to the east of the campground and there appeared to be a large family event taking place when I arrived in my campsite. The event dissipated in mid-afternoon and then, just before dusk, several cars began to arrive and people started setting up tents in the prescribed 'Day Use' area. Seemed a little odd to me, but not sure what the local policies are on overnight tent camping in that specific area. I found both Verizon and ATT cell coverage to be lacking here and not really useable for anything other than voice calls and the occasional text message. Thank you to the US Forest Service for making the campsites at this wonderful location available for reservation on RECREATION.gov.
