A quaint campground where you are not on top of one another along the Ohio River. Relax and enjoy hiking. fishing, and watching barges that pass up and down the river in the Wayne forest area. A quick car ride takes you to St Mary's WV to get supplies and grocery's. For a couple of years the showers were offline because of a flood but the Forest Service has repaired the facilities this spring and though primitive are very accommodating. The larger towns of Marrietta OH and Parkersburg WV are rich in history and worth a few days of exploring.

There was a group of four families that came for my daughter's birthday and had an amazing time. We only live 20 minutes away and it was our first time there and we will definitely be back! Camp host was so helpful beforehand and during our stay.

Very clean and well maintained campground. Mix of RV, pull behind and tent campers. My son and I tent camped on spot 12, very close to the Ohio River. Excellent spot. A little bit of grade to that area so just set your camp head up and it will be great. Nice restroom/shower facilities. Extremely polite on-site campground attendant. T-Mobile cell service was decent at the site. Scenery of the river and boats and wildlife are fantastic. Would definitely recommend. 4.5 stars!

I had reserved a tent site for Saturday 12 June. Upon arrival at around 6pm my reserved site site was occupied. The occupant said that the site had a "Available" sign on it and they checked in/paid and took the site. I went to the Camp Host's site to sort this out. The camp host was not there and nowhere to be found. There was two other sites "available" in the whole park but I wasn't going to take them, only to be told later that it was reserved just like mine was. Not wanting to cause a scene and try and make the family leave my reserved site I had to give up my site and go find a hotel in a nearby town. It was obvious the the camp host likely didn't bother to go change the sign on the reserved sites, including mine. Those other two sites were likely reserved too because the reservation system website said that there were no available sites for 12 June. The camp host is definately to blame and should also have been there on a busy weekend early evening to assist campers. I would like a refund. Thank you.

This little park is a true treasure. It is meticulously maintained and the setting, along the Ohio river, is scenic and relaxing. Internet service on waterfront sites.
