We were there during the big storm that damaged much of the park. The gentleman from the forest service who came to cut a way out of the park was fantastic. He definitely went above and beyond to make a way out of the park. The fire departments that responded were also great. Two deputies also ran through the pouring rain to assist us. The storm did so much damage, but the response by everyone was amazing and so very much appreciated.

We were advised that trails were closed due to storm damage but there was no host on sight, there was an alarm going off in the restroom most of the weekend, the grounds weee not maintained at all, and there were a lot of questionable drive throughs going on.

We had reserved site a couple weeks prior to arriving, when we arrived our spot had been taken. The people were not around at the camper either. The camp host has been off for a few months according to other guests. There is nobody in the office at Wayne National during the weekend to contact. We had to end up traveling back home with camper. Disappointing. Put a bad taste in our mouth and won’t return.

This is a small park (20ish sites) on the Ohio River. The people are friendly, with many locals, and the sites are generally well spaced. about a third on the waterfront but none are far or without view. The Bathroom was clean and in general good shape. Leith Run was flooded several years ago and additionally, some recent serious storm damage. It may well take an additional season to remove the rest of the tree damage off the parking area and the trails. However, the campsites were clean and in good shape. If in the area, I we would return again. We stayed in two sites on the riverfront site 12 (very unlevel) and 13 fairly level. both were nice, but 12 took quite a few blocks and was a big short for our 25 ft TT and Tow vehicle.

Very friendly group of locals in the park. You can tell many come back year after year. It is a small park on the Ohio with good views and significant road noise from across the river. Bathrooms were clean the sites well spaced. Electric only, but water facets scattered in the park. Clearly there has been recent storm damage, but the sites were clear and cleanup in the park is moving forward. Would stay again if in the area.

Leith Run is a special campground that is truly what camping is about at a small and quiet place. Watching the barges going by on the Ohio River is great to see. The showers were clean and had hot water. Cell phone reception was minimal and not at all during heavy rain & storms.
