Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Akron-Canton

This is a very fun place for children. My Grandchildren had a ball. They particularly liked the gem stone mining, the pool, the sandbox and the characters.

I will start off by saying that the staff was great. They were constantly trying to make our stay better given the circumstances. By giving us 3 cabins, 2 golf carts and a gift card to use during our stay, it made our frustrations simmer slightly. We were supposed to have the Lodge but 4 hours before we were to leave our home to travel to the campground, they called and said that they had doubled booked the lodge and that we were no longer getting it and they were giving us 2 cabins as a fix…how do you not realize that you doubled booked a space until THE DAY OF?! Then the air conditioner didn’t blow cold air until the filter was cleaned which looked like it had an inch of dust and lint and the plastic bag was removed from the OUTSIDE OF THE UNIT! Then the water would t stay hot for more than 10 minutes. One of the cabins didn’t even have hot water at all. The pool was ice cold with half of it being blocked off. There was no fire truck ride, despite it being on the actives sheet that they gave us at check in and on the app. All because it had been stuck in the mud for over a year…why is it still on the activities sheet then?! Needless to say we will not be returning the the Akron Canton Jellystone location. For how the pictures on the website make this place look, to say we were disappointed was an understatement.

We had our own camper why I didn’t rate rooms. Love this park. Kids love it always! 😊

We had a great stay at Jellystone RV Resort and would definitely come back. One of our favorite features was the dog splash park. It was such a fun addition, and both of our dogs absolutely loved it. If you’re traveling with pets, it’s a huge bonus.

I also really want to thank the staff for being so understanding. On the morning we were supposed to check out, I stopped to check the tire pressure on my truck and found both rear tires were very low. After going to Mr. Tire, I ended up needing a new set of tires, and once they removed them, they discovered my brake pads were completely worn out. I let the staff know that the repairs meant we wouldn’t be able to leave until early afternoon, and they couldn’t have been more kind and accommodating. They told us not to worry about the checkout time, which took a lot of stress off an already frustrating day.

Thank you for the great customer service and for making our stay such a positive experience. We’ll definitely be back!
