What Guests Are Saying
Sunny's Campground offers a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly staff that is accommodating to reservation changes. The campground is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, featuring amenities like a food truck and a grocery store, making it a fun destination, especially for families and groups. However, recent restrictions on tent camping sites have disappointed some long-time visitors, and the campground can be noisy, particularly on weekends.

WOW! Not sure where to start. We stayed here from August 27th to September 3rd; 7 nights, including Labor Day weekend. From the first time I called to make a reservation until we drove in the drive on 8/27, I made 4 changes to our reservation (add days, repeatedly on both ends of our stay) and the front office team never even batted an eyelash. They were so nice, patient and kind in making changes, answering questions and getting back to me on any query I had. Once we got to the site, Robert was especially helpful and patient as we got acclimated to this very large campground. It was clean, well-appointed with amenities, trusting of the campers to do the right thing and overall a very nice place to camp (we use a tent). Was it noisy over the weekend, yes - but, it's the last blast of summer and it's a campground. The days before, and after, the holiday weekend were very quiet and peaceful. The one thing that stood out is 8 p.m. curfew for golf carts. There a hundreds of them buzzing around all day and especially in the after-dinner hours. It can be overwhelming to a visitor but at 8 p.m. they all disappear as if by magic. This makes for a very pleasant evening stretch. All-in-all, we would be pleased to be able to come this way again and stay at such a nice and friendly place.

First off I’ll start by saying I love Sunny’s or at least I thought I did, and that I’m not the one to take the time to leave a review definitely not a negative one. I’ve been coming to Sunny’s as a “weekender” for around 10 years and after my stay last night I’m not sure how much longer that will continue. Last year the camp changed its rules to only having 5 sites in the entire campground that allow tent camping. Where are those sites? Huddled in the dirt all around the bathroom with one being by the swimming pond but is booked until the beginning of August. Sure it may be a good thing to be next to the bathroom but not with all of the traffic or the possibility of unwanted smells. The pictures you see are where we USED to be able to camp and of vendors that are allowed to set up with TENTS on a non tent campsite. I am very disappointed in the owner of Sunny’s to basically make it impossible for a family to camp here unless they own a camper, it feels very discriminatory. All those empty sites with the nice grass you see? Can’t put a tent there. There is no logical reason I can think of for this rule change other than SUNNYS CAMPGROUND DOES NOT WANT YOU HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE THE MEANS OR ABILITY TO OWN AND CAMP IN A CAMPER. I don’t expect anything to change from writing this review but it needed to be said.

It has been a while since I have taken advantage of my lifetime Passport America membership. 🛂This property popped up on my route. 🛣️
It's ginormous!😱 This might be the largest campground property I have ever stayed at! They have 800 sites here. 80 of them are for overnighters 👍🏻
Definitely a must have a golf cart or at least an e-bike in a property this large.
The streets are very wide and quite level and free of any types of bumps or potholes. They are quite nice, except for the noise from the gravel surface and the dust.
They are so noisy you can hear a bicycle coming from 100 yards away. So every time a golf cart or a car comes by it will be noticeable.🙉
This property is very much a party place. 🥳
It is quite active on weekends. They have a food truck and a small grocery store on site!😳
There are some very choice sites here 🤩 but you would have to be in the right spot at the right time in order to get one if it became available. Most of the sites are too close together or out in direct sunlight. Some are on the main outside street. But what is unusual and very nice here is many of them are on the water. And they also have a forest section!🌲🌲
And a real full size golf course!🏌🏻♂️⛳

Stayed one night while traveling. Would stay again. Very nice campground. VERY LARGE! Lots of campers are full-timers or campers where people keep their campers and come for a weekend or week. Everything is kept very clean and maintained. It was easy access from the interstate and near a town where we were able to go eat.
