What Guests Are Saying

Caesar Creek Lake offers a generally positive experience, with many visitors praising the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities, as well as the ease of the reservation process for shelters. Some have enjoyed successful family gatherings and events without any complaints. However, a recent negative experience highlighted issues with reservation management, leading to conflicts and disruption during a birthday celebration.

I love Caesar's Creek State Park and have booked a reservation before for my daughter's birthday. However this occasion, not only did the park forget to mark my location as "reserved", but they didn't post my name on the location OR call me back when I left a voicemail about their neglect. It wouldn't have been as big of an issue but there were other people in the shelter when I had it reserved and they argued with me that there is no way I had it reserved, it wasn't marked and then were rude and disrespectful for my daughter's birthday party. They did move, however they turned up their music to the max level and our ability to even sing happy birthday was nearly drowned out. This was by far an awful experience.

We needed a shelter with water and electricity for our family reunion so we went online and reserved the Holly Shelter at Caesar Creek Lake. The reservation process was easy and affordable. We will do it again.

We have our car club picnic at Holly Shelter every year.
It is always well taken care of and the restroom facilities clean.
Our guests come from as far as Columbus, Buckeye Lake and Springfield as well as the Greater Cincinnati area.
I always encourage them to check out the visitors center and at least drive down into the gorge area and walk around.
I have never heard a negative comment from any of our guests about the facilities.
Looking forward to next year's picnic..... hopefully Cicada free!
