The stickers were really bad this year. The dogs couldn’t walk in the grass without getting a bunch of goats head stickers or fox tails. I had a goat head puncture my shoe and had to use pliers to remove it. The lawn was not mowed like before. The managers are really nice people. They came around and mowed a few strips around the campground.
This is one of my favorite places to camp while in Canton area. It has power and water but no sewer at campsites. Weekends are super busy but during the week days nice and quiet. Spiders and mosquitoes were really bad this year too. I am sure it was weather related (wet &hot) they said there hasn’t been a good time to spray the campground. I still recommend this camping area.

Really liked the lake, also the town of Canton, and the Casino. Only draw back to our camp site was the stickers.

Why had no one mowed in over 2 weeks? The weeds were 2 ft. high in some spots and ppl were bringing their own weed eaters and mowers and doing someone else jobs. This should never happen, ppl are there to enjoy their stay....not to do more yard work. Also why cant the Park get a handle on the sand burr stickers. They are awful. Very disappointed in the upkeep of Canadian.
