We made this reservation having not ever seen the park before. We just wanted to be near our granddaughter. We was expecting a fairly nice park near the lake. We were blown away by this campground! Amazing sites with concrete pads that accommodated our 40’ class A with the towed. I am sure it is buzzing with activity during the summer but we were here the last week in September so it was a little quite. The restrooms & showers were very nice. We had no shade trees but there is another section that is trees. We wanted a view of the lake and it was spectacular! The prairie dogs were a fun plus! We stayed in A26.

all of our site was covered with sandburs..........not a good thing when you have pets and this is one reason we rarely stay at Canton. Definitely need to take care of the sandbur and goathead problems. Also all sites were in dire need of being mowed and edged. On the up side the charcoalers were cleaned out as were the fire pits.

We love Canadian campground but was very disappointed in the up keep of the grounds. The grass around the cement needed mowed very badly and the whole campground really needs something done with the sandburs. The sandburs were terrible.

Canton lake is always a great place to camp! A few stickers in the grass but otherwise great.
