No information on if they were open, because of shutdown. Tried calling, no one answered. Since reservation was cheaper than fuel, to drive out there, I drove to State Park. I had good experience there, by the way.

First time staying here. I think we had the perfect spot. We had a great view of the lake out our front door. The concrete pads were nice to park on. Also the covered table was nice because much of the day was shaded. Only issue we had was the invasion of red ants. We were lucky enough to have neighbors that had ant killer. The cafe just south of the dam was had good breakfast. Overall a good place for us.

Great place with easy lake access. Good showers. Very crowded on holiday weekend but during the week virtually empty. No bugs.

We love Canton Lake and have camped there many times over the years. We hadn’t been there in several years and we did have one major issue this time which was sand burrs. They were awful! We had to move our tents onto the asphalt because we couldn’t walk around in our tents without getting stickers in our feet coming up through the bottom of the tent. Stickers were in everything! We still had a great time, but the stickers were a big negative.
