Mowing had not been done prior to big holiday weekend. The trees at our site were not trimmed and would have scratched our rig, resulting in our being moved to another site that had no shade. We are used to things being better maintained at Canton Lake. Truly disappointed this time.

This is a great park. Prices are very reasonable. Website is user friendly too. Big camp spots we stayed in A31. They have water and power but no sewer hookups. They do have 2 dump stations though. My complaints or cons about this park would be the thorny sticker in the grass are a nightmare on kids and pets feet. The grass is absolutely overgrown with them. The next thing would be the spiders and ants are bad. We bring spiders spray and spray around our trailer. The picnic tables and the patio covers are filled with spiders that drop to make there webs at night. Super unpleasant to walk into!!! So watch for stickers and bring your own spider spray. I do recommend this park 100 %. We have stayed for 14 plus days every year for 5 years now. There are some really cute towns to explore near by.

We've been camping at Canadian for years. The STICKERS in the grass were BAD. They were EVERYWHERE there was grass. The Corp needs to spray for these. The grass was tall (Yes- more rain than usual this June) but it needs to be mowed more regularly and sprayed for stickers. The stickers were tall. You couldn't avoid them. We had children who visited and it's hard to keep them out of the grass. This was the worst that I've seen the stickers.

I hoped for more shade as this spot was described as shady. Very nice spot

It just has a lot of stickers around the campgrounds. I know there’s not a lot you can do about them but make sure you have shoes on at all times.

Check in personnel were very helpful. They were great. Some maintenance and repairs to the doors in the mens restroom would be appreciated. Its not the parks fault. Unfortunately it appears that the doors have been vandalized.
