Nice level site but water is quite a distance so bring a long hose and a “splitter” since you may have to share the faucet.
Not much shade so can get hot in summer.

Staff was very helpful and nice. We were able to switch campsites with no problem. Campgrounds were cleaned and maintained well. Good electric and water

Wonderful campground. Mostly families. Mike and Bill are the best 👌. I have since stayed at two more campsites where I haven't seen a single host or Corps worker. The adjacent beach is lovely. The Overlook is handy for lunch, bait or just a bag of ice!

I actually don't have a request for this trip. I was going for the 1 year anniversary of my husband's passing at this campground. Unfortunately I was rained out. I have loved it there every other stay.

It was great. Only complaint was there is not enough toilets in the bathrooms for the number of campers

The pls e itself is beautiful and clean. However this Memorial weekend there was numerous capers that were drinking excessively, cursing a lot for everyone to have to hear, there was almost a huge fight between two campsites and it was being conducted in the middle of the street. It was very scary and inappropriate. Normally this type of behavior isn’t happening at Sandy Cove that’s why we like going there during the holidays to avoid all the drama and alcohol, but this year it was really bad??

The 1st night there the electric hookup breaker went bad so we had no electricity for our camper and it was hot, maintenance fixed it the next morning, the showers wouldn’t drain very good and the hot water didn’t stay hot for a shower so you had a cold shower, usually it’s a good place to camp.
