What Guests Are Saying
The pavilion was clean, with well-maintained grills and accessible electricity, making it a great spot for picnics. It is conveniently located within walking distance of restrooms and recreational areas. However, raccoons caused some disruptions and there were issues with bathroom cleanliness.

every night the racoons tore up something new and wasted a lot of groceries and the bathrooms stunk so bad we have never had that happen while we stayed there

A nice campground overall. I was here in mid April and it was a bit cooler than I expected (and windy). I was the only one camping the first night, Thursday, which made me feel awkward as I thought there would be more people here. Friday morning I was awakened by the groundskeepers mowing the grass. The second night another camper came in so I wasn't the only camper. The site was level and had a table and fire ring. Water spigots are shared with multiple sites They have a few campsites right by the lake, which are nice. They have a group picnic shelter and plenty of trash dumpsters. Some sites have more shade than others. Cell phone service was poor to fair (Verizon). The vault toilets were adequate but not regularly cleaned/maintained. I saw the boat ramp and dock get some use during the day from non campers. There were a few trucks in and out circling around the place and someone came in to take some wood from the big pile of dead trees/branches. I would come back but in the summer months. Note: You have to reserve online and pay through recreation.gov as there was no camp host when I was here and the pay drop box had been removed.
