No power in the pavilion. Grass was super tall and they would not mow when asked. Lots of tall dead trees in the water to trip you when walking out into the lake.

Fairview Campground is located at Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River, 11 mi from the town of Canton.
Canton Lake hosts a large number of campers, picnickers, boaters, fishermen, and hunters every year, as one of the few places in western Oklahoma to offer all of these activities.

From Canton, OK: Go .2 mi west on HWY 51, turn north HWY 58A. Continue 2 mi north to a 3-way Stop intersection. Continue straight (west) through the intersection, curving right to a 4-way stop. Continue straight for a short distance, then take t...
From Canton, OK: Go .2 mi west on HWY 51, turn north HWY 58A. Continue 2 mi north to a 3-way Stop intersection. Continue straight (west) through the intersection, curving right to a 4-way stop. Continue straight for a short distance, then take the right fork to the Canadian campground gate house where you will pick up the key to the Fairview Group Campground gate.
After getting the key, return to the second Stop sign and turn left, traveling north over the dam on HWY 58A. Where the road forks, continue to the right on 58A until it intersects with HWY 58. Turn left on HWY 58 to the town of Longdale. Continue through the town 1 mi north (keeping left), and turning west on the secondary road. Continue west for 3 mi to the campground.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via HWY 51 and HWY 58A, which connect to HWY 58. These highways provide access to nearby towns and facilitate travel in the region.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- You need a key to enter the campground, which can be picked up at the Canadian Campground Gatehouse.
- Campground registration is required at the Canadian Campground Gatehouse between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Pets
- Pets are prohibited at the Sandy Cove beach day-use area.
Fires & fuel
- To protect forests, do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site.
Site types & loops
- The Fairview Group Campsite does not have electrical hookups.
