What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Campsites were full of branches and sticks, we needed to bring a rake if we were gonna put out tents somewhere comfortably. The area was tick infested my children and I found 7 climbing on us or our stuff within an hour of getting to the site. Was very disappointed that the site did not live up to the expectations the pictures presented. Belle Starr definitely was not worth what we had to pay. The site was bad enough we couldn’t comfortably stay for the weekend liked we planned. As a matter of fact we left after only 3 hours as the ticks were so overwhelming and the site was so messy. We don’t plan on ever going back.

Excellent campground. Camp spot C13 has NO sign of any kind labeling the spot. It is between C17 and C12.

The spot was good but a tree had fell and it took a lot of shade with it. They did mow the grass while we were there and were very polite

Big dogs run all over the place. I have a small old dog and it’s awful. I really like the folks at the gate and the cleaning people but the place gets out of control at night with loud music and drunks. But I am old :)

This lake has very little water, our campsite used to have water around it but after draining it to Hefner and the broken damn the trees have grown up all around where the water was
If you like no phone signal which is perfect for some
Area was really cool but with lack of lake we couldn’t fish nearby our site
Pool looked awesome and trails are awesome
Going to have to go back to golf in the fall

Unexpected circumstances delayed our arrival, despite my calling, leaving a message and also calling Corp of Engineers customer service, when we arrived the gate was locked!!! Number flashing on signage that read to call if gate was locked, (was the same number where I had left a message), was not answered!!!
Extremely frustrating, had no other place to stay, no one to speak with and no returned call, no refund!!!
Delay in arrival was beyond our control, this camp ground appeared to not care. If you get there late, to bad! You are locked out!!!!!

When asked about a discount at the online reservation, my America the Beautiful Senior Lifetime Pass was not listed even though C.O.E. locations are listed on the back of my card. I would like an explanation or a refund of the difference between full price and discounted price.
