What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Awesome for a Corp of Engineers park! We had a pull thru site that was amazing. The concrete pad was 50’ long with well over 20’ before and after the pad. Then, there was a 20’ x 30’ patio area with the fire ring 10’ out past the patio. Even the water and electric were on a 10’ x 20’ pad behind the camper. The space between sites was amazing as well. Tranquil and quiet. Well worth it.

Long pull-thru site was nice. But lots of stickers. Park needs more signs to direct you to your site. Big barricade around "hole" at dump station, making it difficult to connect your sewer hose. Exit was tight, especially if you have a big rig.

The park is nice however there is only one water faucet for every two camp sites. In some cases you would need 75-100 feet of water hose and a splitter to share the faucet with your neighbor.

Hard to find a flat spot for a tent but you can find a flat ish spot if you dont mind sleeping with your feet down hill. Very clean and nice camp.

There’s a lot of bushes growing up so you can’t see the water, we could help take those out, our site was E8 and E9. We had a great time, thank you!

This was our 3rd stay at Belle Starr. I love being right on the water, the size of the sites are so nice and spacious. We won’t be staying in the fall any more because of the sticky burrs in the grass. They hurt! We also had issue with biting ants. Nearly a week later my husband and brothers ankles still look horrible because of ant bites. Poor guys were in a lot of pain.

Very nice park. However, the door was left open to the women's bathroom and it was filled with small bugs (gnats?). They were everywhere, even in the toilet, toilet paper rolls, etc. I assume this was just a one-time occurrence and would not prevent me from wanting to stay here in the future.

It was wonderful. Nice park. It was pleasantly quiet when we were there. Beautiful water front view from our campsite at C17. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Only thing was sand burs where they had let grass get to tall. They had mowed right before we went but the kids kept stepping on them
