What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

C29 is the perfect spot. It's level, the pad is huge and in good repair. No breakers flipped, the tall fire pits are great. It would be WONDERFUL for East loop to be updated to the level of C29 and sites on that side of the park.

Clean campground and facilities. Kind hosts! Plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, lanterns and clotheslines. W15 had limited spaces for a tent though. Would recommend W16 for any future tent campers!

Stayed two nights. We had a pull thru site and the concrete pad was very level. Even though it was the shoulder season the sunrise was beautiful and we had a very pleasant stay.

Basically the campground was closed. There were about 10 sites of the 100 or so that were open. It was impossible for me to put my fifth wheel into the site I had reserved.
Fortunately the camp host allowed me to stay in a different campsite for the one evening I was there.

The sites that were open in the off season were paved and level handicapped sites. It would have gotten five stars except for the large amount of trash and cigarette butts left behind by previous campers. The park itself seemed beautiful and well maintained.

Park is awesome. Open sites with no privacy but not close together. Was disappointed that the bath and showers were closed. Wished that was indicated on the web site. Also web site wouldn't allow any of the lake view sites to be reserved even though no one were using them. I came in late during the night and picked a vacant lake view site. It's a good thing I did as the site I had reserved would have been difficult to do at night as the driveway was long, narrow and curved. I picked that site cause it was next to the showers but they were closed. This park is set up for cold weather as it has freeze proof water hydrants.

If the restroom and showers are going to be closed, they should leave a notice on the reservation page. The campground seems nice, but judging by the condition of things, it looks to like it is managed pooly. I will not stay here again.

We I visited, during the winter, most of the campsites were closed with a few open. When i arrived I found that all the restrooms and showers were locked. Upon set up I was approached by who I assume was the camp host telling me the spot I was in was not reserveable and would not let me continue with set up. She backed off when I produced my reservation confirmation. I would have camped elsewhere if they would have said they were closing all the amenities, but this was not disclosed during the reservation process. Nice park but needs to be managed better.
