What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Love the beach. Sandy not rocky. Big lake can get lost need gps. Not all sites have grill but they have fire pit grill. Also you have to share water some area 3 to 4 sites for one water. Make sure you bring extra water hose

Traveled from Arkansas to Norman for a new camper. Had a terrible experience at the dealership when we thought it would just be a quick walk through, hand a check over, and pull away to the site I had rented at Belle Starr. We figured we would be pulling into our pull-through spot no later than 6pm. Ended up pulling up to the gates for camp at 10:15pm. Was about to sit at the gates and cry after all it took to finally get there BUT the sweet gate keeper walked down from her camper just before the first tear dropped and asked if we had already made reservations. Told her the site I had rented days prior to arrival. She told us exactly how to get there and that the site was almost perfectly level so we shouldn't have to do much to get set up. The site was exactly that, almost perfectly level which ended up being what we needed as we couldn't unhook the camper. Woke up to a beautiful view of the lake and what looked like very well maintained sites all around. Took the dogs for a walk and let them play in the lake. Once back we figured out why we couldn't unhook and picked up camp to leave. Our neighbor the next site over happened to walk over to just say hi but ended up staying and talking for a while. Very very sweet family. Helped us fix what was wrong with the unhooking issue (which was a dealer install issue) and even gave us a few pointers that we greatly appreciated. What felt like may have been a terrible purchase ended up all turning around at Belle Starr! Will def be coming back and bringing the kids. Fingers crossed we may end up seeing our new camper friends again as well. Oh, and leaving camp the same keeper from the night before was at the entrance. We thanked her way too many times AGAIN and it took all I had to not hop out of the truck to hug her. Almost defeated sad tears coming in...grateful happy tears leaving.

They have a lot of stickers in the grass and the little biting ants were infested in the campsite.
