What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

We had campsite C55. The site itself was well maintained and clean! The bathrooms were fairly clean, but the showers were pretty gross, specifically the walls were stained from years of use. The indoor porta potty by us was very clean in terms of the walls and floor, but it REEKED so bad (understandable…it’s a porta potty). Also, I felt like this wasn’t really a campground and more of an RV park, so that made us feel like we weren’t really camping as compared to the other places we have camped at.

Belle Starr was great for our first time RV camping outside of our home state. Heads up for anyone considering Site C01 — the driveway is a sharp right-angle and not a pull through like many others at this campground, so choose accordingly. We were able to make the turn & get our camper in place, so we had no issues during our stay, but it may pose issues depending on what you’re driving or towing.
Facilities (bathrooms, showers) were already locked up during our early October stay, despite the campground season being set to close on Oct 31, so tent campers plan accordingly.

Love the close proximity to the water and sandy shoreline. Privacy was achieved at our site. Lots of shade. The main bathroom with shower was clean. However need to get the bathroom at E01 site opened. Been closed too long and had to drive to use facilities

Gorgeous campground with beautiful views. Fairly quiet as it was late in the season. Had a site next to the water which was level and spacious. Will be back!

This was an overnight stay. It was beautiful, we wished we could have stayed longer and will look into going back.

Beautiful location, fairly well maintained, although the restrooms and showers could definitely use some remodeling. Sites on East Loop were big enough to be private. Very quiet mid-week.

It was a beautiful and quiet spot on the lake. There are a lot of sand spurs so be very careful with your pets.
