What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Upon arrival to our site we noticed the grass was knee high or taller in the campground. We have three dogs that had a ton of grass burrs in their fur. Further, it seemed our campsite was ok for others to walk right through to get to the lake. I have never seen such rude people at a campground. Our experience was terrible. And I will pass that on to everyone I can.

Huge spaces with concrete pad and very large concrete patios that includes a fire ring and nice picnic table. No disappointments here. The entire campground was very clean and quite at night.

My grandparents ran the gate shack at Belle Starr for years in the 80s and 90s, I have been coming here for my entire life (39 years) with my parents and now I bring my kids to the exact same campsites.
Just a great place to be, feels like home.

Due to family issues we had to cancel our reservations we had made in order to be close to our Good Sams group. Then, issues resolved we thought since we didn't have a reservation we would just drive up and take a first come first serve site. We told the gate keeper when we got there and asked if there were any sites we could get in. She heard our story and placed us in a perfect spot to be near our group. Very good people running the gatehouse.

Camping sites are excellent. Not too many stores close by. Beach was flooded, no fault to camping area. Be nice to have WiFi and hiking trails.

the restrooms were dirty and not clean at all, usually they are, the grass wasn't mowed and they did that on a Sunday morning real early and woke everyone up. We love going there and usually have a great time, but things were a bit down this trip. I love going over to see Belle Starr's gravesite and the dam. Muskogee is close by and they have several antigue stores, which I enjoy and the family loves boating, skiing, and tubing and fishing.
