What Guests Are Saying
Redbud Bay offers a quiet and clean camping experience, with helpful staff like Jeff who assist with reservations. However, some campers have reported issues with rude attendants and outdated electrical hookups that require upgrades. While the park has beautiful surroundings, there are concerns about disturbances from neighboring campers and the absence of a dump station for longer stays.

Have camped here for years and never seen an attendant until this last trip. Very rude and unprofessional. We were not doing anything wrong and they rolled up and told us we had to move our cars that we had parked at our camp site that we reserved and informes us to move them or they would be towed with no explanation. Problem is you are allowed three cars and we had three and we were not in the grass. My issue is other sites had cars in the grass and they just strolled right past them without saying a word. Very disappointed to have to leave a negative review but they would not give any explanation and just walked off. First time to ever see any attendant at this camp site and it was very negative. Not even a hello or how is your stay. Just move your cars are they will be towed. Wont be back and its sad cause it is a good camp site.

Please replace the electrical plugs for the RVs. They are very old and have extensive use, wore out and loose connections. They overheat or the RV cords become disconnected. Spend a little money on this park, there are only 11 campsites. Cmon man. Your park rangers are having a hard time explaining how your paying campers need to provide a fan to keep the connection at the pole from overheating while determining if you have made any camping rules violations.

Quite, clean campground. Wish they upgrade power to 50 amp.

It's a beautiful place but could be better cared for. Also we had problems with people around us fighting and calling the police on each other making a disturbance. When I arrived in this spot the neighbor next door was blocking our spot and was trying to fight and argue with me. She told me that the park rangers told her to park there and she did not have to move. All I asked was for her to move her vehicle a little more forward so we could get into our spot. She did finally move her vehicle.

I love camping at red bud bay. Some of the plug ins are burnt and and not good. Especially #11. And #9. They really should consider having some 50 amp plugs and breakers.

We needed to modify our initial reservation. Got lucky and spoke to Jeff on the local number. He was very helpful. The national 800 number is useless. We had spot #1 reserved but when we got there it was not ideal. Tried to call and change to a different spot but no answer, so we just booked #6 online. We did get an automatic refund of part of the fees. Be prepared to use several blocks under your rear stabilizers, as all of the spots slope toward the lake. Not having a dump station is inconvenient for longer stays. No way you'll want to tow a poop tank all the way to Hawthorne on Hwy 88. Had to make 2 trips since I can't lift the Rhino 28 gallon into the bed of our truck when it's full. Cell signal from Verizon is great. DISH tailgater had good reception also. The park is quiet, only about 3-4 of 11 sites occupied during our stay. Park host is in stealth mode - never saw them.

Our site was perfect (#8). Very easy to get camper set up because the site was very wide. It was the only site available to reserve and was handicap accessible. The views were lovely, the area very quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
Dislike: pit toilets instead of flush. I have no problem with showers not being available, but the smell of the pit toilets on a warm day with just the right breeze was disgusting!
Also, no good area to walk the dogs for their potty breaks…there is an area closer to the marina about 1/4 mile down the road that had a nice area that we used so it worked out.
When we arrived we found many beer cans left in the grill for us…not sure why people don’t pick up after themselves?
We liked the campground enough to come back again.
Dump station is in another campground just down the road, easy to get to and use.

We never saw a camphost in 5 days. Kids came into the park to party at night. We were in and out, but never saw a ranger come through the park, Maybe I just missed them. Park was nice and grounds were neat and clean. Nice view of the lake.
