What Guests Are Saying
Spencer Creek is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, clean and well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly hosts, making it a great spot for camping. While there are some concerns about electrical issues and bathroom cleanliness, the overall experience is positive, with many campers appreciating the large, shaded sites and the beautiful surroundings. Some minor improvements, such as better restroom access and trimming low-hanging limbs, could enhance the experience further.

The ticks were so bad in site 19 and 21 despite lots of tick spray on us we all were covered in them. There was trash left from previous campers. It would be nice if there were metal trash cans scattered throughout the campsites, maybe then campers would use those instead of the ground!

This is a basic camp ground. There was shade at most all sites. We did not use the restroom so I can’t provide a rating for it or the showers. Our stay was one night only. As it was the end of the season there were very few other campers so there was no noise. The terrain is hilly so a walk around the campground was a bit taxing for this 68 year old.

Loved our stay. The staff were all very nice. Clean facilities. I loved that everything was all very close and there was so much access to the water. Good space between sites. This is going on my favorites list.

We camped in the primitive camping area at Spencer Creek, so we knew there would not be electricity, water or nearby bathrooms. Because no one else was camping that weekend, the camp host facilitated our move to a campsite with better tent set up spaces. He also offered to bring firewood if we ran out (it was fairly COLD that weekend!). Despite the cold weather and rain the next day, we enjoyed ourselves very much sitting around the fire until late into the night. The next day, white steam was rising from the lake (the water was warm, the temp was cold!) giving it an ethereal look. We saw many migrating birds fly over the lake. We were happy to learn that the primitive campsites will be open year long and plan to visit again.

This is great camp ground. It’s rather isolated which means quiet, lots of tress and close to the water.

The area is very clean and relaxing. Entering in the people at the gate were very welcoming and nice. Wish both bathrooms were alike. The bathroom up by the camp host is nice and has ac and a shower vs the other one. The area overall is very nice and I feel secure knowing the lock the gates at night. Definitely will come back!
