When making the reservation, it states on the website that this location had electric and that campfires were allowed. It states that there is a fire ring. When we tried to turn in the electric, we were informed by the grounds keeper that there is no electric to the site. Looked for a fire ring to go ahead and just build a fire for light, there wasn’t one. Check in time says 6pm. We arrived at 545. Had a little over an hour of daylight to have a gathering. We had to use my son’s light bar on his truck to finish the evening and do clean up. Not a good experience.
I did contact the Eufaula office and was issued a refund. The gentleman that helped me, was very nice, apologetic and understanding.
We have camped at highway 9 landing with no problems. We really enjoy the area. The groundskeepers have always been very friendly and helpful. We will be going back for camping, but will most likely find somewhere else to have our family get togethers. No electricity was a major problem for us.

We had the best spot. Right on the shore line, wasn't loud at night. The park was kept clean and maintained at all times. The only down side we had were biting ants. Also not a big fan of the pot o potty type bathroom. But they do offer a cleaner regular one also with showers. Will be going here again!!!

I was the only one at the campsite. It was nice and a great view. No plumbing but had an outhouse and a trough. Great place!

Sites are short, uneven, and in need of repair. Nice shade. Nice beach. Park could use a complete plan of action for upgrading. Sharing water means lots of hoses— not acceptable for that price.

Most of the campsites in this area are HARD to get parked. As most are back in spots, there are so many trees that obstruct movement. Also, whatever you do, do not rent space S01 on Highway 9 Landing. The "host" is a joke...campsite is more his personal space. Nice enough guy, but not a host. His camp was loud - one evening after dark, someone pulled up in a car and sat in it blaring their radio. Husband finally walked outside and stood out there until they turned it down. When the walls of your RV are shaking, your music is too loud. Also, if you want to fish off a bank, this site isn't for you either. Water is very shallow. Lastly, no dump station on premise. You have to haul your portable gray tank across the street to the North campsite. I wouldn't recommend or stay at this site again.

Dumpstation is located at Highway 9 North Campground. South and East campers will need to utilize that campground to empty tanks. |
