We all know the phone system and website have numerous problems. But the office assigned a camping spot without any input from me. They did eventually reassign one I pick. However being a park non campers squatted on the adjoining campsite and partied until the night.

I really enjoyed the spot!! We were at the end by the boat dock and it wasn’t too loud or crowded. The lake was great for swimming sandy bottom and not too deep too quickly. I would suggest water shoes if you don’t like the feeling of much. The bathrooms and showers were pretty gross. Don’t expect much from them. There were not a lot of tent only campers so most people use their rvs. I recommend this campsite to anyone who wants to go camping from Amarillo.

It’s a great place to relax. Go boating, swimming and to just get away from it all.

It was a great weekend. The camping area is clean and peaceful. There is plenty of trees for shade and you are not too far from the water. It was a great place to have our family reunion.

Nice location. On the water. Trash left by campers but otherwise would stay again.
