This was a convenient one night stop for us on our way further west. It was well maintained. I'd stay again in a heart beat.

Nice well maintained park. Park hosts are really nice.
Park Needs:
1. This park needs walking/hiking/biking trails. (There's plenty of room for this, especially through the wooded areas.) Between park personnel and local volunteer groups, this should be doable.
2. A fishing pier at each campground area would be nice as I see so many trying to fish from the large rock covered banks that are hazardous to try and access the shoreline.

It is a pretty place. Lots of swimming, good fishing. A bit off the beaten path but that is a good thing, yes?

Well kept park. Large sites with covered picnic tables. Large shade trees. Close to Woodard, KS for groceries and gas.

Very noisy campers: lots of dogs and most barked, played loud music after well after midnight. Day users walking in and out of campground even after 11pm. Also a ridiculously loud jet boat raced on the lake for several hours and vibrated our rv. Did not appreciate that the entrance gate was left open 24 hours a day and rangers/hosts never patrolled campground. We would never go back!

This place is fantastic, I have been going here for over 15 years. It is a great park, where there is watercraft on the lake and ample parking for large RVs. It is also 8 to 10 miles from woodbird if you have to run into town to get something.

The camp host was so welcoming. The park was immaculate and the people were all very friendly. We went kayaking and had a great time!
