What Guests Are Saying
Chicken Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with stunning lake views and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many visitors. While the campground has been praised for its clean facilities and helpful hosts, there have been consistent complaints regarding maintenance issues, particularly with the grass height and overflowing trash dumpsters. This is a very nice campground with a beautiful view. I gave it a good rating due to the beyond terrible bathroom situation. I do realize some people have a camper and place to poop, but some don't. Fix the dang toilet seats! Aside from this gripe, the place is a pleasure to stay.

We love this park. The park attendants are very friendly. It is a great place.
Cons:
But it is in need of updates. Railroad ties are rioted, broken, and there is a lot of exposed rebar, that is hard to see. Mowing seems to be once a month. It seems the fire pits never get cleaned.

Quite through the late evening
Had problems with 30 amp outlet and it was taken care of real quick.
I will be back.

Trees need trimming. I was driving around looking at camping spots and low hanging limbs tore small hole in my roof. Finally backed into camping spot and over hanging limbs rubbed top of camper.

Very quiet underutilized campground; less than a handful of campers here on this early April weekend. Attendant said it’s rarely more than 60% full all season. Many lakeside campsites are first come, first serve. We chose #1 to avoid the strong south winds. No TV signal, ATT cell and WiFi adequate, water good, dump site easy to access. Very private, but little to do here but enjoy the beautiful lake. No hiking trails.
