There had been flooding so the boat ramps and main bathrooms were closed. Great views.

This was the third time we have camped at Elk Creek Landing and like being so close to the water. the people that work there are friendly and helpful but not available 24/7. Sites are close to each other but have shade. We didn't have any trouble backing the trailer into our spot. Grounds are usually take care of. This last time there had been SO much rain that they weren't able to keep up with the mowing. That meant walking through high weeds since the road to the outhouse was so far away. There was one thing that really was frustrating about the restrooms and showers available. They are usually keep clean and maintained. There is one room for men and one for women. It's a huge space that has the shower, sink, and toilet. This last visit the restrooms were so hot inside it was actually hard to breathe. Women's had hot and cold water but men's only had hot water. It was even difficult to shower because you couldn't really dry off since you would be sweating so much . Before we left, the septic tank backed up and both restrooms were closed for the duration of our stay. We were staying in a camper so it wasn't quite so bad for us but for anyone camping, it would have been a real inconvenience. Oh, and somehow a tarantula hot inside the men's restroom.

The trash dumpsters were overflowing. The flys were terrible because of the trash. And the grass was overgrown.
