We love staying at Strayhorn. We have a boat slip at another marina with its own campground, but choose to stay at Strayhorn instead because the park and view are so much nicer.

This is a nice quiet spot. It is also close to the State Park and Fin And Feather Resort.

We arrived the last day of the reservable season, but found a suitable site without much trouble. Some sites were not very accessible for our 54 foot long 5th Wheel/F250 Long Bed Crew Cab combination. There were 2 full hookup sites that were occupied when we arrived, but there was a dump station. The marina was closed for the season, which was a disappointment. We found the some local restaurants that were still open, but we did not find much to do out of season. We still enjoyed our time there.

Great location for camping! Lakeview on every camp site, easy access to the lake. Several swimming areas. Lake was absolutely beautiful! Campground volunteers were very helpful! Thanks to Stoney and Mack for making us feel welcome. We camped here 3 times last year and will return! Very clean facilities.
