I love this place it’s my favorite. It’s close to home and pretty, the staff are always great. It got a little cold this last trip but it was well worth the trip!

I love Strayhorn, but it didn’t seem ready for campers in April this year. The largest bathhouse was closed, no hot water in the open bathhouse, fire pits were full of hardened ash, and my camp site was littered with corroded batteries. Disappointing.

We loved our stay here so much we extended it for a few days. We will be back, great staff!

We have fell in love with this little campground. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. We have put this campground on our favorite list and will be stopping back when on our way to and from Texas late fall and early spring. Good hook ups for our 30 amp trailer and water at site. Hope to stay 7-14 days next trip.

We had site #009 in the front area on the river. It was beautiful and spacious but if we are able to return we would chose a site further back, maybe even around the corner. The traffic noise wasn't loud but we could hear it more often from our site. The 3 mile bike ride and into the little town for ice cream and the dollar store was a fun easy ride. There is also another bike trail that goes up and over the very high bridge. That was very challenging and high up but fun.

This is the most beautiful campsite with lake view spots all the way around. It is our favorite for that reason. However, the maintenance on these campsites is poor. The grass is always high and ants are out of control. My husband packs his own weedeater when we stay. We also have to warn our kids and watch closely with the ants. We never leave without ant bites. If they would maintain the grass it wouldn’t get so bad.

Very clean and all sights have a beautiful lake view. Gate attendants are knowledgeable and very helpful. Just a beautiful place to relax and fish.

The sites were very nice, no sewer, but otherwise good. Beautiful spots with great views of the lake on the south, east and northeast sides. The care people were nice and helpful. The dump station was very accessible and well kept. The boat ramp was very steep without any turnaround and no parking.
