All sites have great views and access to lake and short walk to marina. Water hydrants between each 2 sites within 50'. Really clean place and all sites are fairly level side to side. Close restrooms/bathouse/dumpsters to all sites. Staff are great and patroll every 2 hrs and on checkout day every 30 min. They're really helpful and care about the grounds, your experience, and safety. Quick reminder entrance gates close at 10p. If you miss that there is ample parking just outside the gate and it's a short wallk to your site

Very nice Campground, staff was great. Nice area for bird watching. Can get a bit loud with people swimming but it is summertime and to be expected. Would recommend staying here

Strayhorn is a small secluded campground with a wide variety of site types. It's not a huge campground, but it has a great group section with kids playground as well as really good reatrooms/showers. Be aware though, it's on a huge lake and is elevated about 45' above the water so the wind is persistent. The campsites are nice and shady and there's plenty of grass. We will probably be back when the wind dies down a little as we have a tiny trailer and have to deal more with the wind than folks in their big ol' RV's.

Wonderful view of the lake from campsite 12. Camp host and camp volunteer very friendly and accommodating. Restrooms and shower house well maintained. Will definitely come back if in the area. Pay attention as sone sites are very short.

Great camping spot especially for the views. Clean campground nice and quiet. Beautiful view of the dam to the South Marina to the north. But especially the camp host really took care of the campground. Everyday I saw him out there checking out everything makes sure everything was clean and clear. I feel very safe couldn't have been a better experience.

Love the park. I dislike the new reservation rule and not having some sites first come first serve. In my 12 day stay I noticed many sites marked reserved with nothing on the sites my entire stay. In my humble opinion this will deter many would be campers from coming to enjoy the park. I've been using this park for a few years now. The other campers i visited with had the same opinion as i do. They didn't like the new system either. I request that the previous way for sites be returned.

I love this place it’s my favorite. It’s close to home and pretty, the staff are always great. It got a little cold this last trip but it was well worth the trip!
