The campsite was very well taken care of. The restrooms were very clean and even relatively cool even though the temp reached 100 degrees while we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Cedar Lake is my favorite place to camp. The campground is beautiful and well taken of. And the trails are great.

We stayed in the campground the entire time, but it was very beautiful and peaceful. It was a lovely weekend with family. There is no cell service and I was nervous getting out there because of lack of service. Do plan to go back for a visit in the future and will plan on arriving during daylight hours for easier set up.

The camp host (brenda) is AMAZING! She is totally helpful and always available if we need help of any kind. The area is beautiful and the campsite was immaculate. So grateful for this place!!

It was wrong timing for my brother and I it was so windy and the chance of rain we only stayed one night. The restroom at the Noth shore was locked the handle on the door was missing the Handicap restroom had so many bugs inside you could have made a bug pie. The campfire was still smoldering from the last camper I would assume. I love Cedar Lake it is one of the most beautiful lakes in Oklahoma. My brother and I are planning on making another camping trip in October Good Lord willing. Thanks!

Swimming for all. Fishing from the shore, and fishing docks available. Hiking and biking also. Fire pits out doors, for those hotdogs, or marshmallows. Relaxing when you wish. Or walking your dog also. Fun for everyone 😀

The North Shore campground is the most picturesque. The trees, birds, frogs and water are my favorite welcoming party. The campground was free of litter. The door in the men’s restroom/shower was broken. Hope that is fixed soon. Waking up to hearing door banging & yelling because someone is trapped in the bathroom is not peaceful or healing.

From Poteau, OK, take U.S. Highway 59 south approximately 22 miles to Holson Valley Road (10 miles south of Heavener). Turn right (west) onto Holson Valley Road and travel approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right (north) onto Cedar Lake Road and travel 1 mile to the camp boundary.
From Talihina, OK, take U.S. Highway 271 east toward Poteau for 11 miles. Turn right (east) onto Holson Valley Road and travel 19 miles to Cedar Lake Road. Turn left onto Cedar Lake Road.
Elevation: 311 feet

General
- Campers with horses must reserve sites in the equestrian loops only (HCLE and HCMR)
- All horses must have proof of current Coggins test
- Maximum outboard allowed on lake is 7.5 horsepower
- If a reservation holder does not show up by the day after their scheduled arrival date, the reservation is cancelled and the site is open for 'walk-ins.'

- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
- Reservations must be made at least 10 days in advance of arrival.
- No off road vehicles are allowed in the recreation area.
- All dogs must be on a leash at all times while in the recreation area.
- Vehicles must be parked on paved or gravel surfaces at all times. Additional parking is available at the bathhouses.
- no generators may be used during quiet hours.
