Tent site was easy to find. Was able to back my truck in. Lots of room for the tent. Had a picnic table and a fire pit. Wood at the entrance was available for $10 with free kindle. Easy access to the trails around the wilderness refuge. Bathroom was clean. Showers kind of small, but it worked perfect!

We always enjoy staying at the Doris Campground. The bathrooms are clean, it’s peaceful, and hearing the coyotes howling, the elk bugling at night is awesome- along with seeing other wildlife and ease of access to so many hiking trails. The hosts were so friendly & helpful with maps & other information.

Site number 10 was an excellent location, very close to the restrooms and a private enough location. Be warned that if you are setting up in wet condition the tent site for this location is in a runoff area. We had no problems and the weather was perfect but I noted this as I was setting up the tent. Fall foliage was beautiful and we we're serenaded at night by the western screech owl, great horned owl, elk bugling, and coyotes. Absolutely great experience.
