Beautiful campground in the Wichita mountains wildlife refuge. My only complaint was that the parking pad was narrow and difficult to back into.

We had a great experience with our 3 and 5-year old at this campsite! The water view was lovely but just far enough not to worry. Everyone around us in the campground was respectful and observed quiet hours. Camp staff drove around (respectfully) to keep everyone accountable. Campsite was clean and had a good spot for our tent (by the road). Very private with one side completely woodsy. A little distance to the bathroom but it's a nice walk. My 5 year-old and I turned off our headlamps, looked at the stars, and saw the Milky Way, a satellite, and a shooting star within two minutes. She will remember that forever.

This place is truly a treasure. It is our third time to be here, each time is unique. We brought our friends from Chicago on this particular trip, they were absolutely amazed. From the scenery, the wildlife and super friendly park host. Be sure to go to Meers for the best hamburgers and cobbler around. Top it off with a trip to the top of Mt. Scott to see the sunset.
