Walk in. A wagon might be helpful if you have lots of stuff.

Always have a great experience at Doris. Just be aware of the raccoons.

Campground was full but all was quiet after 9pm. The camp host did her job well and her driving around at 9pm enforcing the rules kept any rowdyness at bay. Local eateries at Meers and Medicine Park are outstanding and the refuge offers multitudes of hiking opportunities to burn off the meals. We were there the first of October and it was enjoyable to hear the Elk bugling at many locations throughout the refuge and even heard one from a distance while enjoying coffee early in the morning from the campground. Love this area in Oklahoma but for me it's a fall/winter spot as I've encountered to many rattlesnakes in the heat of the summer.

The campground and mountains are beautiful, but they should decline reservations during prescribed burns. After setting up camp I was exhausted and felt like passing out from all of the smoke. I ended up having to leave and go to medicine park to camp. The smoke was unbearable

Regina and Tony had exceptional customer service, they were very attentive and friendly. I will be back just for them alone! The campsites were clean and quiet!
