We've been visiting the Wichita Wildlife Refuge for over 25 years and have always loved the Doris Campground, but the new updates are wonderful! We loved being there during a quiet time and enjoyed having the place to ourselves. The new bathrooms and showers are extremely comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Very nice campground (I stayed at campsite 7). Clean, spacious and private enough. It also has access to various hikes directly from the campground which was great. No cellphone service but I didn't care.
The rest of the park is also very cool and unique. I recommend downloading some maps and trails, as some areas are not very well traced (Elk Mountain for example).

Nice spot and the entire area is beautiful. Only complaint is that my fire area was full of ash so i had to spend my first hour at dusk cleaning all that up instead of setting up and there was no ideal place to dispose of all the ash.
