We've been coming here for decades. Not much has changed as far as the sites and roads. The major changes have been upgraded restroom facilities. There is now only one bathroom with running water and showers, and three concrete buildings with pit toilets. The main bathroom is centrally located, and the pit toilets are in other loops. The campground could use another bathroom or two. On busy weekends there is a line for the showers and sinks. Other than thaat, it is a great place to stay and explore the Refuge, with good hikes leaving from the campground.

We love the Doris Campground. We camp there as often as we can. The camp sites stay booked up and we wish there were more electric sites available. We realize that it’s a balance to preserve the area . It’s such a beautiful area and lots of wildlife

Love the tent sites here. A bit away from the road but not too far for camping comforts. Was very please with the condition of the restrooms.
