What Guests Are Saying
Lakeside campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with level campsites, friendly staff, and great fishing opportunities. However, there are some concerns regarding the lack of showers, inconsistent bathroom cleanliness, and issues with site maintenance, such as steep drop-offs and unclean firepits. Overall, many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and are looking forward to returning despite some minor drawbacks.

We have recently moved here, so we have only been to 2 parks. So far, this is the nicest park. The only struggle I have is most of the sites are paired-up. If you have friends or family camping with you, that is a great thing. However, if you want to be alone, it isn't so great. I love the park, so don't get me wrong. I'm just letting you know how the site are set up. Some of the lake front sites have a bit of a steep step-off. If you don't pull all the way back to the bumper, you can set up behind the camper. Most of the lake sites have a covered picnic table. There is a lot of bird life. You can see the fish feeding at night. We caught many fish, too. I love camping, and this is a very nice campground.

The site we picked to camp in was wonderful, very close to the water, plenty of grass around all the sites, was very quiet, even though several sites around us were full, there was not much noise, several campers had their dogs with them, but unless you saw them you would not have known they were there.
We have visited 2 times now and will definitely be back in the future as time permits

Great lake, one of the better COEs that we have been too. Unfortunately same old thing, all the staff does the absolute minimum possible, cleaning staff did very little. Was there 2 weeks and am pretty sure it was the host that I was waving to every day, they chose no interactions

We had the most fabulous sun rises/sun sets/moon rises! We're too old for "activities" so we have no recommendations.
I suggest Recreation, gov add a statement to this camp's description that extra water hoses might be necessary. I have averaged 105-120 nights per year for several years in various campgrounds and I've never been to any sites where 2 water hoses weren't sufficient.

No notice in the website Rec.gov that all the showers need to be maintained. Usually with the corps of engineers we arent concerned about bathrooms but these showers were cold and push start and hardly put out any water. Beautiful lake and quiet with few neighbors, but about two miles away they have one shower at Johnson (also corps of engineers park) showers were fantastic hut only 4 per 55 spots or so where as this park has over 120 spots and no showers!!!

It’s the most beautiful place to camp on Lake Texoma. Most of the campsites are close to the water.
