What Guests Are Saying
Lakeside campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with level campsites, friendly staff, and great fishing opportunities. However, there are some concerns regarding the lack of showers, inconsistent bathroom cleanliness, and issues with site maintenance, such as steep drop-offs and unclean firepits. Overall, many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and are looking forward to returning despite some minor drawbacks.

There were 5 of us families camping at lakeside. We enjoyed this spot very much, it was very CLEAN. Drawback was the speed of traffic. We have young children.

Poor signage to know where the various camping groups were located. Plus the fire ants need to be under control.

We really enjoyed our time at lakeside. Our son and his wife also camped at the same time as we did. The fishing was great and the experience was wonderful. It was so good to get out there at the lake and just enjoy being there. We have camped at lakeside many times before and we love it there. The one thing I like is being able to pull our boat right up to the campsite. It is a family oriented camp site. Planning on staying there again maybe before fall and also a fall venture. The workers there do a good job keeping it clean, thank you to them. My favorite place to camp.

The park was clean, grass was nicely cut, Only two bathrooms and they were clean, there were a few pit toilets around. Most sites were fairly level, plenty long, paved. Some spaces were well apart, others rather close together. The views were terrific. There is a boat ramp. Day use is allowed but there doesn't seem to be any area specifically for day users.
The gatehouse seems to be permanently closed so there is no one to collect money from day users or to provide maps or answer questions for first time visitors. There are very few signs to let you know which loop you're driving through (actually one one sign and it provides no information). No one in authority seems to drive through the park or be available. People let their dogs run loose and do not pick up after them; the neighbors by us dumped their gray tank on the ground and another RV had liquid leaking out on the ground the entire time we were there; party outside lasted until 11:30 at night when I went over to remind them what time it was. There seems to be no one to contact to report these issues to.
