Pretty good lake, nothing crazy but It’s chill

Went to visit our family on a camping trip at Okemah Lake. Several people pulled up and used two camping spots next to us.As night came they started getting drunk and had knives and proceeded to try and fight other campers. It took almost 20 minutes for any cops to show up and only one did show up. This isn’t a safe place to camp and definitely not for kids.

Camped there for a small vessel tournament. Large wake boats on a small lake never is a good thing. Rules state that old dam and south is no wake. Tried that only to be nearly ran over by a wake boats. No one enforcing rules and the (manager) told me he was still in high school. Ask if there was a ranger with authority and he said I don’t guess so. Camping was not a good experience either as a homeless family was staying in restrooms. Go elsewhere if you want a normal lake experience.
