Heyburn Park

We've always enjoyed Heyburn Park. My family has been going there for all of my life. The people currently running the park do a fantastic job at keeping the campground mowed and the bathrooms clean.

The park, beach, and bathrooms were nice and clean, and traffic was respectful of the posted speed limit the majority of the time. Hot weekend, but the weather turned cooler Monday and we got to do a lot of relaxing and enjoying the outside! Grandkids even caught a couple small catfish from the dock!

Tent campers was allowed to park in the next camping space over from me. Their music was extremely loud. And they had extremely bright lights shining right in my camp area all night long not a pleasant experience. Mosquito there.

We had a beautiful spot by the lake. Park was very clean. Just what we needed.

We enjoyed our stay here for sure. The volunteers/hosts were AWESOME!!!! Very helpful and accommodating....they helped to move us to a different site when we needed to when checking in.

The biggest negative was that many/most of the lots were not level, nor could we get our rig even close to level in them.

Locking the gate at 10PM, while necessary and a good idea, was not very conducive to doing any evening/night activities in the area.

We were amazed that the costs were so low and the facilities were so clean and accommodating. We were only there for a night on the way back home but we swam at the beach, which was right near it site and it was quiet and relaxing. We will say the hot water for the showers was REALLY hot; it needs turned down for sure.

The park is in the worst shape I ever seen it . Our 30 amp wasn’t working and said they can’t get anyone out to fix it due no over time. This is on Labor Day weekend. So we had to fine another spot. The main bathroom weren’t working due to a water leak. The park host wouldn’t help on finding a spot to move to. They were to busy on their own time to help anyone. They are getting a spot that every wants and the even built a front porch on their site. No other park had any host.

We chose Tuesday through Saturday stay and it was nice and convenient to be local. Heyburn is less than 30 minutes from home and was very easy to get to using the Turner Turnpike. The park itself is low key and just what we had hoped for. Being midweek, it was quiet and using the swim beach area was nice and not crowded. The utilities (power and water) worked very well, no issues using 50 amp pole. We were in Site 26, a back in spot, and it fit our 40+ foot right well with room to park our oversized pickup and Explorer sided by side.
The hosts, all of them, we're nice, friendly and kept an eye on the park and were never iintrusive.No obvious trash. We did not visit the shower house, so I can't speak to it, but it was cleaned daily.
It was so very hot the week we were there, over 100° every day,so really appreciated the shade.
We are headed back in the fall and made a detailed list of 50 amp sites we fit into, shadiness and ease of parking. Our kids and families came out one evening and they were all impressed by and made plans to camp themselves.
Thank you to the Heyburn Park staff. We will be back!

Overgrown trees, even at the gate to get in scratched our RV up to pieces. Pads are not level at all. We ended up not being able to stay there and wasted our money.

Bathrooms were filthy.
