We arrived and chose a camp site; the west side next to the water # 22. I recommend you bring a broom, soap and water hose to wash off the concrete picnic tables and pad. The water and electric worked great. We were tent camping with small children. The leaves were not out yet and the sun beat down on a 90 degree day in March so we ran a line between trees and put up a tarp. The sunset was beautiful over the lake and was the highlight of the evening. That made the camp sight choice a win! An unobstructed view of the sun setting over the lake. The restrooms were functional although it appeared vandalism to the facilities was an issue. Cleanliness was average but the wear and tear may have made It look less clean. The playground was ok. It looked well used. We fished and did not even catch a perch or bluegill on the west side of the point which was shocking. There was a lot of driftwood for campfires but we had brought some just in case. The water at this lake is typical of lakes in this part of Oklahoma: muddy and red.
Overall a great trip for a little kid who wanted to stay in a tent and cool s’mores on a fire. And the site is 30 minutes from Tulsa. That is a win!

Even though I stayed during the off season in February, the park was very nice and quiet. There were only a few campers there.

Passing through the area. Watch GPS directions as we were directed down a long dirt road to get there.
