WONDERFUL!!! I was looking for a peaceful place to relax and do a little walking after spending 3 months helping adult autistic child with home repairs... It was so nice that I extended 2 more nights ( I did have to move spots). The main facilities located at the entrance were well maintained and I used them daily.
The down side.
1. The initial spot that I had sometimes flood so the spot is NOT level. I tried several areas within my spot and the best I could do was a 6.5 inch difference from side to side which I corrected to 2 inch difference since my levelers were only 4.5 inches high.
2. The two facilities deeper into the park (by the beach and in the middle of campground) were unusable for me. Smelly and not at all clean (but again the facility by the entrance was fine). I got my walking in by using the entrance facility.
3. There is no permanent paid staff. However, the volunteer was pleasant and nonintrusive. I had read there was no permanent party so I drove straight to my spot and set up. The volunteer came by while I was sitting outside enjoying the view and the evening breeze. I am 69 and really not used to the technologies... I much prefer to talk to people about my reservations. But I managed just fine (with a medium amount of stress - difficulty interpreting a few search results - but eventually got it), even with the extension and spot move done online.
Site 21 is the unleveled spot but it is right next to the water... if it were the only spot available I would book again.
Site 42 was definitely better leveled. Not as close to the water but a lot closer to the entrance facilities.
I would definitely stay there again!

Lovely park. Well kept. Unfortunately the site we choose, 23, has limited shade. Otherwise a lovely experience.

The low hanging tree branches at the entry drags so many trailers and motor homes. They desperately need trimmed. If it wasn’t for those low hanging branches we love Heyburn.

First time on site 26. Shady and level. Bathhouse needs work.

The campground hosts were very nice in directing us to a site that was more level than the one we had chosen online so we could leave the truck hooked up for the overnight stay. Before I moved over, I checked the power and found that the second site had a problem with the 30-amp outlet. We then moved to a third site after finding the maintenance man and getting permission. Wasn't a big deal, just took a while longer to finally get set up. It would be nicer if the roads inside the campground were all smooth asphalt. My dog has an injured leg, so I have to push him in a stroller. The gravel road was too bumpy, but we were able to cut across on the grass to get around. The grounds were pretty clean compared to others.

I enjoyed our weekend. The site was clean and quiet. Our family had 4 sites in a row and it was amazing to be close and felt like we had a large area. We had access to the lake that was easy to get to and well maintained.
