small but clean park, we spent one night, very quiet. Does need some repairs in some spots.

Bear Creek Cove is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and exceptional camp host, Neal, who enhances the camping experience with his friendliness and cleanliness efforts. Campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and the overall cleanliness of the facilities, including bathrooms. However, some have noted challenges with water quality and the check-in process due to limited cell service, along with occasional weather-related issues.

The campground is in excellent condition, and it would be an easy decision to return again in the future. The only downside is that you may be disappointed about the lake view. This was due to lower than expected lake levels. I am not sure if that normal, but it made an impression on my visit. The good thing is that it is a short drive to other areas of the lake other lake activities.

Park and park keeper were among the best. Had an electrical problem that resulted in entire outlet exchanged; fixed within a couple hours. Plenty of room between sites and space to enjoy. Property well kept. Steep decline to the beach area and more mud than water. Lake was no more than 2-3 ft deep with at least as much mud. Not great for boats. Lots of birds to watch.

We were disappointed that our site had recently been graded and most of the trees removed. Thank goodness it wasn’t raining or, we would have been camping in a mud pit.

From Newkirk, Oklahoma, take Peckham Road and travel east for about 8 mi, turn right on Bear Creek Road and continue south for 3 mi. Campground will be on the right.
Bear Creek Cove is accessible via US Highway 177, which is approximately 12 miles to the east. From there, it connects to other major roads in the area.
