What Guests Are Saying

Washunga Bay offers new, well-maintained campsites with 50 amp service, clean restrooms, and a friendly atmosphere, making it a popular choice for campers. Most of the boat dock walk up needed replaced and some are missing. The water level is extremely low -four feet and needs to be let out by adding additional walk out or add an additional dock temporary attached to stationary permanent dock. There is not enough water at this time as kaw releases for hunting season plant growth or energy due to less and less rain fall. Additional adding an increase to the wake zone- most of bay. Rain levels are low however, the amount of release per day is triple what rain fall potentials. Fishing jug lines filled the perimeter anywhere from 10 to 60 feet to center of bay. Normal both fishing and boating share the water respectfully. This visit was different as fishermen complain about the boating activities due to increase wave movement. The east side of the bay smelled fishy and looked differently in color. Now the good: 50 amp 24.00 a night spot worked wonderfully and was clean.

Need 50 amp service in all sites, Need more sites higher up so they don't flood. About 60 more. Need a 2nd boat ramp. Also Need overflow parking so people having family get together won't plug up the road. And plant trees in sites that have none.
