We loved our stay at Virgil Point on Lake Hugo. Many sites are shaded, and the pads are paved and level. There’s a beach in the campground but it has red clay. The beach at Wilson Point is more sand and that’s a 5-minute drive to the other side of the lake. Water and electric work well. No complaints and you can’t beat the price, especially with the Interagency Senior Pass that deducts half of the already low nightly price. Well maintained campground. Verizon worked reasonably well, but sending pics takes awhile.

Lovely site. Clean. The gravel parking pad for our campervan was very sloped on both sides of the van, not allowing for safe and comfortable movement around the van. Pit toilet back splash was disgusting and required emergency boiling of my lower body.

Virgil Creek was a nice open campground offering lovely water views. The majority of sites had generous pads with covered tables. The drive in was easy enough. I arrived from the north and took the opposite route out. Both were fine. The only difference was the drive from the north was a bit windy, but quite doable in the RV. Not much noticeable activity by the host on site, however the washrooms were clean. My only complaint was that the online campground map indicated that each campground had shower facilities. They do not. The only shower house is located about a half mile from the camping loop. Much more coneviently located to the campground host than to the guests. Not a problem for those of us who are self contained, but for those in tents be warned, the washroom within the loop is a vault toilet.

Very clean and well maintained, only issue were the pads are not wide enough, one trip coming out your camper door will put you into rocky sides.

Very clean, beautiful, quiet, spacious. Only suggested improvement is to have sewer hookups at the site (in addition to the dump station).

Very clean well maintained park. I was favorably impressed. Only downside was that I was unable to get it on my GPS. It would help to have a street address on the website.
