Making improvements in bathrooms but the ones finished were clean and well stocked.
Gatekeepers were friendly when they made rounds.
The only negative was that 2 sites share one water faucet so you need to bring extra hose.

The campsite was dirty. Had burned biscuit cans, energy drink cans and other trash in the fire pit and tons of ash that wasn't cleaned out. There were toys at the campsite visible from the road that were left there by the previous camper. Overall it was okay, just doesn't look like our site got cleaned up before we got there. Swim area was nice as always and I think they added life jackets since I was there last which is awesome! Bathrooms are always clean and the park is nice.

We love going to Birch. As with all camping areas there are bad camping spots and good ones, be sure to bring extra levelers and extra length of hoses and a muti spigot splitter. Only thing bad I can say about Birch is it needs some mosquito control. It could use a little better mowing job and several of the wooded areas need to actually be mowed and cleaned out. It might help with the mosquitoes. Poison Ivy was around but not bad. The fishing is good and the dock is nice. They were working on getting ready to build new Bathrooms when we were there and there is only one working bathroom/shower building available, one bathroom only building, and currently porta potties in the other two locations, so be prepared. It's also nice to have the Dollar General in nearby Barnsdall, about a 10 minute drive to the store. The new host is very nice and patrols the area diligently and stops to talk and ask questions. It's a nice camp ground. It has a nice playground even though there is no shade. It's a short drive to the Pioneer Woman in nearby Pawhuska and Skiatook lake, about 25 minutes away, is nice to go fishing at as well. Woolaroc is about 15 minutes away as well, worth the visit.
