Had a wonderful time at the lake. By Sunday afternoon, we had the lake to ourselves!

We love how the lake isn’t overly crowded. Our favorite campsite is 87 because it is right there at the water. We can let our kids swim whenever they want and our boat is tied up right there at our campsite also.
There are only 2 things we think needs to be upgraded, • campsite 87 needs a water spicket closer to it. It takes almost 200’ of garden hose to reach to hook up our motorhome. • not only this campsite but a lot of the other sites that have hookups for motorhomes and trailers could use a 50 amp service.

Very clean campground kid friendly and great camp hosts

Host was great, he was off when we arrived, we had an issue with turning on the water and he came right down to help. If you stay at spot 50. You will need a long water hose, 50ft hose will not be enough, the closest spout is on 48.
Also, the guest before us left the site nasty. There was broken glass and cigarette butts everywhere, burnt tent supplies in the fire pit.
I did clean up after them and ourselves as there's tons of wildlife.
Picnic table stays in the sun all day until evening, thankfully we brought lots of tarps.
Spot is kind of stagnant, would be best to bring fans if you're camping in the summer.
Other than that, its very pretty, bathroom isn't terribly far.

Don't feed the squirrels!
I had no idea they would chew through a tent to get bread but I found out the hard way they definitely will!
I've camped here a few time and love this area. Host and volunteers are friendly and helpful.

Site was great other than having no water at site. Had to run hose across road for water. The dock was close and good for fishing. I will come back.

The location itself of our campsite was great. Small walk to the bathrooms and to the lake. Very shaded! The area around wasn’t very level for a tent but we made it work. Also, the electric hookup was at the bottom of the campsite so make sure to bring an extra extension cord if you need the power

From Tulsa, take Highway 75 north to Hwy 20 west. First light in Skiatook turn right (north) on Hwy 11 to Barnsdall for 19 miles. Take a left on West Chestnut Avenue, then left on South Eighth Street at T. Travel 3 miles and Birch Cove entrance will be on the right.
Birch Cove is accessible via Highway 75, Highway 20, and Highway 11. Highway 75 is approximately 19 miles from the campground, providing a major route from Tulsa.

- Gates close daily.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Pets
- No glass containers, alcohol, or pets allowed at the swim beach.
Utilities
- All sites share water; bring an extra hose.
- Sites include 30 amp electrical service.
Fires & fuel
- Buy firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
