What Guests Are Saying
Brooken Cove receives high praise for its beautiful scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly park staff, making it a favorite camping destination for many visitors. Campers appreciate the clean bathrooms, proximity to sandy beaches, and scenic views of the lake. However, some concerns were raised about maintenance issues, such as dark shower facilities, uneven camper pads, and overgrown areas, which could use attention.

First time to stay at Brooken will definitely come back. Site was close to water and park was quite for being almost full. Hated to have to go home, wish it was open longer during the year.

Overall our stay at Brooken Cove was fairly nice.
PROS:
- The sites were clean and everything was well kept and taken care of.
- The bathrooms were very clean and due to most of the park visitors staying in RVs this meant that the bathrooms were pretty much only used by my GF and Me. Which was pretty awesome!
- Our site (31 BCOV) was perfectly located for our trip. Next to the water, kind of off from the center, and far enough away from the bathrooms to not be disturbed by them while not being so far away that it's inconvenient.
CONS:
- We never met/could find any of the park rangers/staff to ask any questions. Like could we collect local wood to burn or did we have to buy some? Is the water drinkable? No one even came by to make sure we actually reserved the spot. (The last part isn't so much of an issue but I would've expected at least someone to drop by at some point)
- There was an alage bloom occuring while we were there and the only way we found out is we walked up to the front gate to see if we could talk to anyone (we couldn't find anyone) and saw a small print out on the window stating that you should avoid the water. That would have been really nice to know before we showed up or before we were drinking the water.
Otherwise our trip was very nice and the site was very nice! One note is that @ our site and the ones next to ours there were not a lot of trees so it did get quite hot with the direct sun. Not a con in anyway just something to be noted. We will probably come back again in the future.

Great, quite Campground.
Camp host was nice and friendly.
I had 50 ft of water hose and had to drive to Stigler for another hose. I did have a Y hose hookup, which you will need at most sites, as the water outlets are between sites (not one for each site).
Would be nice to have paper towels and soap in the restrooms.
