One of our favorite places to camp. Nice spaces. We did the D loop, first comes gets the spot. Faced the lake. Extremely well taken care of campground. Some spots on C loop are fantastic but the backing in can be somewhat of a challenge. Doable but slowly. I can’t say enough positive things about ALL of the camp hosts and Ranger. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. They were probably our best hosts ever. The fishing pier is worth the drive. It’s only about a mile away. The restrooms are very clean with great water pressure. Definitely will return. The town of Sulpher is about 15 minutes away and has a Walmart if you need anything.

Great campground. Dump station wasn’t convenient and only allows one person to dump at a time even though it could be set up to do two.

Nicely placed sites with 50 amp and water. Big trees too. Our site B11, was on the river so we could see the barge traffic. Visited Ft. Smith NHS. The 30 amp sites were also very nice on the opposite side of the park. We also walked the trail nearby and could easily bike.

Loved camping Buckhorn. The lake is beautiful. Our site was nice and clean. The camp host was kind enough to give our boys some spare wood for our fire. Bathrooms are very well kept and the showers are great. Overall wonderful camping trip.
