We had a lovely, shaded tent-only site. There was a water spigot at the site, but it came out so fast it nearly blew us away! Next time, we will try to get one of the sites adjacent to the shore, for the view.

We needed a getaway, and CNRA was just the place. The restroom and showers were very clean.

Great site! Walk down to water to fish without high brush. No cell service except by restrooms, which was fine with us. Restrooms very clean. One, possibly two trees for hammocks right next to site, plenty of others nearby.

The site we reserved was not very level. It sloped a little down hill and to one side. We have a class c motorhome and we were not able to get it completely level, even with 3 inches of blocks under one of the front wheels. (That is the max I'll attempt.) We will avoid reserving this site in the future. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will likely stay a few more times this year.

My family absolutely loved our time at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Our spot at the Buckhorn camp ground was perfect. Peaceful, clean, and right by the lake. Easy to maneuver our camper and just a short drive to the main camp area where there were tons of trails and swimming holes. Seeing the bison and Lincoln Bridge were a fun experience. We took our bikes and there were several trails we could ride on. Not far from the camp grounds is Turner Falls which is also a great place for a day visit of swimming, hiking, and biking. And you must stop for an Arbuckle fried pie on your way back to camp.
